BAE Systems is a leading provider of Logistics Services and maintenance
support for Government Air, Ground and Maritime Programs. USSOCOM has
committed to transforming their current Special Operations Forces
Support Activity (a depot like organization supporting Special
Operations Forces worldwide) into a Performance Based Logistics Services
Contract. BAE Systems is uniquely positioned as an industry leader of
Performance Based Logistics, maintenance and modification support
activities to provide USSOCOM and its subordinate commands a world class
SOF depot operation. To provide the management and leadership required
for operating the Special Operations Support Activity, BAE Systems is
looking for a knowledgeable, skilled manager for Quality management
activities to support a wide variety of SOF programs. The successful
candidate is expected to be adaptive, responsive, flexible,
knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of quality and assurance
management programs to lead BAE Systems efforts in establishing a highly
effective, reliable logistics support operation. There is strong growth
potential for this demanding, dynamic position.
This person will manage and direct quality for a $500 million annual
program including: inspection requirements, trend analysis, technical
order publication library, maintenance training program, Test
Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), and functional test flight
programs. Manage QA department of 15 employees. Advise Director of
Program on all matters pertaining to quality assurance and quality
control aspects of contract execution. Direct quality
inspections/audits of operations and subcontractors, reports progress
and recommends corrective and preventive actions. Develop and implement
quality procedures in support of aviation and ground system
modifications, manufacturing and services. Assure compliance with
contract requirements, government regulations, ISO 9001-2000 standards,
and BAE System policies. Analyze performance trends, reports results,
and makes recommendations. Implement and administer ISO Certification
and Recertification programs. Conduct internal Six Sigma and Lean
training sessions and workshops. Assist Occupational, Safety and Health
Managers in conducting inspections and investigating mishaps and
injuries.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years experience on higher level quality processes
(i.e. ISO 9000) or equivalent.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black or Champion and Lean Six
certification
- Current active secret clearance (eligible for top secret)
- Ability to work out of Lexington, KY office (due to location of
customer)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in business or technical field
- FAA aircraft inspection management or equivalent experience
- ISO 9000 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent military experience
